An artist from a young age, Cecelia began her professional career in 2003 working as a makeup artist for Estee Lauder, Chanel & Benefit. In 2006 she became the cosmetics coordinator, creating sale campaigns and events for new launches. In 2012 she graduated from Regency Beauty Institute with a certificate of Cosmetology.
Shortly after graduation Cecelia began a two year intensive program through the Van Michael Council. Working closely with master stylists, learning the ins and outs of color theory, technique and precision cutting. During this time, she took on extra classes to advance as a master stylist in cut and color. She trained with Kevin Murphy color, working closely with KM’s brand educators, and master colorists to certify through the line.
Cecelia is an internationally published artist. Locally she services clients out of her private studio, SONG Studio Salon. When she is not working behind the chair, Cecelia travles as a guest artist styling for New York, Paris and Milan Fashion Week. Working with The Beauty Underground she designed showcases for the International Salon Expo. Her work at the South West hair awards gained her three nominations and two wins through Denver Fashion Week.
In 2018, Cecelia became the Artistic Hair Lead for Fashion Week Studios. Connecting stylists from around the globe. Cultivating artistic teams for fashion shows, educating hair artists, and curating the hairstyles submitted to designers each season. Fashion Week Studios hosts opening day of Paris, New York, and Milan Fashion Week twice a year.
Cecelia’s hope in creating the educational program for FWS was to offer an opportunity for passionate artists to break into runway. The class serves as a platform for artists to gain the foundational tools needed to launch their career to the next level.
In offering these classes students are able to gain experience and build relationships in the industry. The hair team now draws students from around the world to be a part of the elite Paris Fashion Week!
Cecelia was recognized at the Southwest Hair Awards as a nominee for “Hair Stylist Of The Year.”
